Environmental technology

Increased atmospheric strain on operations in the open air and aggressive media reports are added influences whose effects on drive unit components must be reduced by taking appropriate measures. The gear units must work reliably for many years without the need for much maintenance.

Drive units by WEG Gear Systems are particularly durable against environmental influence and if necessary can also be equipped with special lacquers (e.g. corrosion protection for operations in salt water applications).

The motor units can be equipped with auxiliary heating systems, with rust-protected brakes or with protection cap.

Separators

The separators are used to split up slurry into a liquid and a solid fraction. The thin slurry remaining can be distributed any time without any sophisticated homogenizing techniques. The odourless solid fraction is easy to store without any problems.

Sewage treatment plant

Drive units in special stirring machine gear units are particularly suitable with all their advantages for plants in the sewage industry.

High permissible radial- and axial loads in combination with maximum sealing protection are required. The drives must be resistant against an aggressive mixer medium.
